Maruti Suzuki sales in August 2025 stood at 180,683 units, including domestic sales, sales to other OEMs, and exports. That marks a slight year-on-year decline of 0.60% compared to 181,782 units in August 2024.

 

Looking purely at domestic numbers, the decline is more pronounced, with sales falling 7.47% compared to the same month last year. On the export front, though, the picture is much stronger. Maruti export sales hit 36,538 units in August—a solid 40.51% jump over August 2024.

Maruti Suzuki domestic sales from passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles stood at 1,34,050 units in August 2025, reflecting a 7.91% year-on-year decline. Sales to other OEMs, which typically trend upward, also dipped slightly. Volumes came in at 10,095 units, down 1.12% from 10,209 units in August 2024.

 

On the export side, the story is different. Despite the overall slowdown, the Maruti Suzuki export business continued to grow, with shipments rising 40.51% year-on-year to 36,538 units.

 

Looking at total monthly sales across all categories, the decline is minimal. 1,80,683 units were sold in August 2025, compared to 1,81,782 units a year ago. Zooming out to the financial year so far, the company is still slightly ahead. Maruti Suzuki’s total sales in FY 2025–26 stand at 8,89,070 units, marking a 1.18% year-on-year increase.

If you look at the table above, you’ll get a clearer picture of how Maruti Suzuki sales have played out month by month. Compared to July 2025, there’s been a slight uptick—just 0.09%—in August. Even so, this month still ranks as the fourth-best sales figure for the brand so far this year.
