Bought outright, the Hector Tomahawk EV is offered across three variants, Excite, Exclusive and Essence, with the Essence trim additionally available in a five-seat configuration alongside the standard seven-seat layout that the other two variants get.

Under BaaS, MG splits the cost of the vehicle and the battery into two components, letting buyers pay a lower amount upfront and cover the battery separately through a rental charged at Rs 4.9 per km across the board.

The gap between the two pricing routes is fairly consistent across the range. Opting for BaaS brings the upfront cost down by Rs 5.5 lakh on the Excite, Rs 6 lakh on the Exclusive, and roughly Rs 6 lakh on either Essence configuration, compared with buying the car outright. Buyers will need to weigh this upfront saving against the ongoing Rs 4.9 per km battery rental over their period of ownership when deciding which route works out cheaper for their usage pattern.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV specifications
The 2026 Hector Tomahawk EV runs on a 69.2kWh battery paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor rated at 150kW and 310Nm of torque, good for a claimed MIDC range of 517km and a 0-100kmh time of 8.2 seconds. Charging goes through a CCS2 connector, with support for DC fast charging at up to 90kW, enough for a 30-80% top-up in around 35 minutes.
A 7.4kW AC charger takes roughly 12.5 hours for a full 10-100 percent charge, and a portable charger for standard 15A household sockets is also included. Braking duties are handled by discs at both ends, while suspension uses MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link independent setup at the rear.
