The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the most popular models in the Maruti Suzuki lineup, available in four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. It comes with both petrol and CNG engine options, with only the Delta and Zeta variants currently offering the CNG option. However, there’s good news for those who prefer the top variant as the Alpha variant will also be available with the CNG option.
This new addition will allow buyers who prefer the top variant to have their preferred powertrain option, providing them with a satisfying choice. Maruti Suzuki Baleno engine specs

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno's CNG-powered engine delivers 77.5 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 98.5 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. It's paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of 30.61 km/kg for the CNG variants.
The petrol variant, on the other hand, comes with a 1.2L engine that produces 89.7PS at 6000 rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The petrol version claims a mileage of 22.35 km/l with the manual and 22.94 km/l with the automated manual transmission.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno measures 3990 mm in length, 1745 mm in width, and 1500 mm in height. It offers a boot space of 318 litres and has a wheelbase of 2520 mm. The car is equipped with a 37-litre fuel tank.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with a range of modern features, including a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6 speakers, TFT colour display, front footwell lamps, and a 60:40 split rear seat. It also offers a head-up display, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMs, rear AC vents, push start/stop, and more.
For safety, the Baleno is equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESP with hill hold, reverse parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, brake assist, ISOFIX, and a seat belt reminder, among other features.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is priced between Rs 8.40 lakh and Rs 9.83 lakh. Looking at the price list, the Delta CNG variant is just Rs 45,000 more than the Delta AGS, while the Zeta CNG is similarly priced Rs 45,000 higher than the Zeta AGS. The top-end variant in the range is the Alpha AGS. Based on this pattern, it’s expected that the upcoming Baleno Alpha CNG variant could be priced around Rs 10.28 lakh, with a similar Rs 45,000 price difference.
Maruti Suzuki offers a wide range of models, catering to different customer preferences. However, not everyone may be ready to invest in a new car due to budget constraints. For such customers, buying second-hand Maruti Suzuki cars can be a good option.
