New Skoda Kushaq production has finally begun in India. The model has come a long way since its debut in 2021, when it became Skoda Auto’s first product under the India 2.0 strategy. It was also the first model built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, developed by teams in India and the Czech Republic.

The updated Kushaq gets a revised exterior, refreshed features, and a few notable additions across the range. Scroll down for a closer look at 2026 Kushaq production, delivery timeline, features, and more.

New Skoda Kushaq production begins

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda Kushaq 2026 comes in six variants: Classic, Onyx, Signature, Sportline, Monte Carlo, and Prestige. The carmaker has commenced production of the Skoda Kushaq 2026 at its manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, marking the start of its next phase in the market.

This time, the Monte Carlo badge will be available right from the start of sales, so along with the other variants, buyers can choose the sportier Monte Carlo version from day one. Deliveries of the Skoda Kushaq facelift in India are scheduled to begin in March 2026.

The Kushaq facelift features a new front grille with chrome ribs and an Illuminated Light Band, all-new LED headlights, and updated LED fog lamps. The rear gets connected taillights with sequential turn indicators and illuminated ‘Skoda’ lettering, while the sides showcase clean lines with cladding around the wheel arches and sills.

The new Skoda Kushaq facelift colour options include three all-new shades – Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red – alongside existing choices like Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, and Deep Black.

New Skoda Kushaq features

The new Kushaq comes loaded with features like a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital cockpit, panoramic sunroof, dual-colour ambient lighting, ventilated six-way electric front seats, six speakers with a subwoofer, auto-dimming IRVMs,  491L boot space (expandable to 1,405L), rain-sensing wipers, rear defogger, and 17-inch alloys, among others.

Safety remains a key focus. All variants come with over 25 active and passive safety features, including six airbags, while higher trims offer more than 40 safety features.

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq continues to offer the reliable 1.0L TSI engine across all trims, while the more powerful 1.5 TSI engine is reserved for the higher-end Prestige and Monte Carlo variants.

When it comes to gearboxes, the 1.0 TSI engine comes with a segment-first 8-speed torque converter automatic and can also be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.5 TSI engine, on the other hand, gets the 7-speed DSG exclusively.
