Skoda Kushaq facelift deliveries commence nationwide — Details inside!

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift deliveries have begun across India. It is offered in five variants: Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and the Monte Carlo. It is not short of competition, but this update feels more thought-through. You get features like a sunroof right from the base variant, and there is also a segment-first 8-speed torque converter automatic now in the mix.

The Kushaq continues to sit in the heart of the midsize SUV segment. It goes up against the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Skoda Kushaq facelift deliveries begin — What Skoda got right this time?

The Kushaq facelift is a focused update. Skoda has worked on the areas that needed attention. The design now looks more current. Slim LED headlamps and connected lighting at the front and rear give it a cleaner, more modern feel.

The biggest improvement is under the skin. The 1.0 TSI now comes with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic. This replaces the older 6-speed unit, which was often criticised.  Even the new Kushaq features have also moved down the range. Even the base variant now gets alloy wheels, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and defogger, auto-dimming IRVM, and LED headlamps. You no longer need to stretch your budget just to get the basics right.

There are also a few standout additions. The 8-speed automatic itself is a segment-first for this engine. There is also a rear seat massage function and a panoramic sunroof on higher trims. These are the kind of features buyers now expect in this segment. ADAS has finally been added as well. The earlier car missed out here, which was a clear gap. Now, higher variants get Level 2 ADAS along with an expanded safety package.

What the 2026 Skoda Kushaq still misses

The Kushaq continues as a petrol-only offering. There is still no diesel option, which can be a limitation for buyers who do higher running or prefer that torque-heavy feel. Some rivals still offer diesel, so that gap remains.

Rear space also stays as it was. The dimensions have not changed, so you are not getting any extra legroom or cabin width. It is still comfortable for most everyday use but not the most spacious option in the segment. That was never the Kushaq’s strongest area and this update does not try to change that.

New Skoda Kushaq price

The Skoda Kushaq facelift base price starts at Rs 10.69 lakh, while the top variants go up to Rs 18.99 lakh, covering a wide spread of variants and powertrains. The biggest jump is from Classic Plus to Signature, with a gap of around Rs 3.9 lakh. This is where the feature set and overall positioning change clearly. From Signature to Sportline, the difference is minimal at about Rs 15,000.

The move from Sportline to Prestige adds roughly Rs 2 lakh, bringing in the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and DSG options. The Monte Carlo sits at the top, priced slightly above Prestige, mainly as a design-focused variant. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol costs around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh more than the 1.0-litre. The DSG gearbox adds another premium on top.
