Tata Aeris leaked in full ahead of launch — CNG variant caught on camera

A video of the upcoming Tata Aeris has leaked online a day before its official launch on September 25, 2026. The video, credited to Autobros India on YouTube, shows the CNG version being taken off a delivery trailer and reveals several exterior and interior details.
The Aeris is expected to replace the Tigor and will be offered in petrol, CNG and electric versions. The leaked video focuses on the CNG model, giving an early look at the production-ready car.
Tata Aeris CNG exterior design details revealed
The Aeris gets styling elements from both the Tiago and Tigor, along with some new design details. At the front, it gets a black grille bar and sweptback headlamps similar to the Tiago. However, the Aeris gets a new bumper with C-shaped corners and a redesigned central air intake.
The CNG model shown in the video gets two-tone wheels, 'Aeris' lettering on the front doors and pull-type door handles. It also uses the Tiago's ORVM design, while the notchback roofline continues from the Tigor.
At the rear, the tail-lamps are similar to the Tiago, spanning from left to right, with the Tata logo sitting in the middle. The Aeris also gets a shark-fin antenna, roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp and a sculpted boot lid. The CNG version gets an 'iCNG' badge and a new rear bumper with C-shaped corners and static reflectors.
Tata Aeris CNG interior and features
The leaked Tata Aeris CNG video did not reveal the interior, but Tata’s interior teaser has already shown several details. The cabin gets a beige interior theme with free-standing displays on the dashboard, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, steering-mounted controls, front cupholders and centrally placed AC vents.
The upcoming Aeris is also expected to get an inside rear-view mirror (IRVM), front and rear armrests, powered ORVMs, rear AC vents and three-point seatbelts for all occupants. Other expected safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors and Vehicle Stability Management.
Tata Aeris CNG engine and gearbox
The Aeris is expected to use the Tigor's 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine. In the petrol version, this engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. The CNG version is expected to use the same engine and gearbox options as the Tigor iCNG. The Tigor CNG produces 76 hp and 97 Nm, and the Aeris iCNG is expected to have similar outputs.
Tata Aeris launch date and price expectation
Tata will officially reveal the Aeris on September 25, 2026. The company has not announced its prices yet. The outgoing Tigor is currently priced from Rs 5.70 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh, ex-showroom, and the Aeris is expected to be priced slightly higher.
