Tata car sales in April 2025 — Reports 7% decline in YoY growth
- 1Tata Motors reported a total of 70,963 units sold in April 2025

Tata car sales have seen a 7% drop in year-on-year performance. In terms of month-on-month growth, the decline is also clear, with 19,537 fewer units sold. Tata domestic sales of passenger vehicles, including EVs, stood at 45,199 units, showing a decline of 2,684 units compared to the same month last year. Similarly, in April 2025, the combined domestic and international sales for EVs also experienced a 16% drop in year-on-year growth.
On a more positive note, the international business of passenger vehicles showed some improvement. Exports reached 333 units, marking an increase of 133 units compared to April 2024.

Tata Motors has experienced a sharp drop in its MoM sales performance. In March 2025, the company sold 90,500 units, but this number fell to 70,963 units in April 2025. March was the only month this year when domestic sales showed a significant increase. In comparison, January and February 2025 saw sales of 77,232 and 78,159 units, respectively. Looking back to the last quarter of 2024, Tata Motors’ domestic sales stood at 80,839 units in October, 73,246 units in November, and 76,599 units in December.
