Toyota's Year-on-Year growth in August 2026
For the month of August alone, the domestic picture looks a little different, with Toyota's monthly sales actually dipping slightly year-on-year.
| Period | August 2026 | August 2025 | Gap (units) | % change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Domestic Sales | 28,410 | 29,302 | -892 | -3.0% |
The domestic segment has been the bigger driver of the year-to-date growth, adding a gap of 24,600 units, up 11.2%, while exports have grown by a comparatively modest 363 units, or 1.7%, over the same period. This suggests that August's slight year-on-year dip of 892 units in domestic volumes is more of a monthly blip than a sign of a broader slowdown.
