But that’s not it; we are awaiting the launch of a few more notable cars in the next few months. Here’s a list of the upcoming cars in India in 2025, with a cap of Rs 20 lakh as the expected starting price.

Tata Curvv CNG

Expected launch timeline: 2025

 

Tata has been actively considering a CNG version of the Curvv coupe SUV, and the same might soon be launched. It is unclear at the moment as to whether the CNG kit will be offered with the Revotron engine or the Hyperion engine.

 

Tata Harrier petrol

Expected launch timeline: Mid-2025

 

After months of anticipation, Tata is finally going to launch petrol versions of the Harrier compact SUV. The car is expected to come equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with direct injection, which was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo last year.

Expected launch timeline: Mid-2025

 

Making its debut alongside its smaller counterpart, the Safari will also see a petrol version being launched in the next couple of months. It is likely to come with the same engine as the Harrier.

Kia Carens EV

Kia recently launched the Kia Carens Clavis, which was essentially a facelifted version of their Carens MPV. The Clavis is soon expected to be launched in an electric avatar, the specifications of which are scarce at the moment.

 

Skoda Kushaq facelift

Expected launch timeline: August 2025

 

First launched back in 2021, the Skoda Kushaq is due for a facelift this year, and it is expected to be launched by August. While the powertrain options are likely to remain the same, we expect notable changes in design, both on the inside as well as on the outside.

 

Volkswagen Taigun facelift

Following an update on the Kushaq, the Taigun will also get a facelift, as confirmed by VW India’s erstwhile Brand Director. The new Taigun will also see an ADAS suite, and a panoramic sunroof, keeping it at par with rivals in the features department.

New Mahindra Bolero

Expected launch timeline: End-2025

 

Codenamed as U171, a new generation Mahindra Bolero is being developed, that too based on a monocoque chassis. It would reportedly be sold alongside the current generation of the Bolero, albeit donning a suffix, like in the case of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N. It might be launched by the end of 2025 or by early 2026.
