It hasn’t been long since the upcoming Nissan C-SUV test mule was spotted on Indian roads. This SUV is one of the brand’s confirmed launches, set to debut in 2026. Recently, spy shots of the upcoming Nissan C-SUV interior surfaced, giving us our first real look at the cabin and its features. Judging by the details, the test mule appears to be a mid-variant with a bold stance, closely matching the render images Nissan released earlier.

2026 Nissan C-SUV exterior
The upcoming Hyundai Creta rival, the Nissan C-SUV, will be built on the CMG-B platform. The Nissan C-SUV exterior test mule was spotted heavily camouflaged, but several features stood out. It has pull-out door handles on the front row, a shark fin antenna, a rear spoiler, rear wiper, and wheel arch cladding. The body shows a muscular & slightly boxier stance. The test mule runs on 225/60 R17 tyres, likely indicating a mid-level variant. The top trim is expected to come with 18-inch alloy wheels.

Upcoming Nissan C-SUV interior & features
The real highlight here is the Nissan C-SUV interior. Though the dashboard was covered in black cloth in the spy shots, some details still came through. You can spot a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, along with a digital driver display. Right next to the display, there’s an AC vent. On the passenger side, a knob is visible, likely for climate control or seat adjustments.
Other notable features caught in the shots include cruise control and adjustable seats. Beyond what’s visible, the upcoming Nissan C-SUV features are expected to include a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, surround-view cameras, powered and ventilated seats, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, six airbags, parking sensors, IRVM, and more.
Upcoming Nissan SUV engine options
Nissan India has officially ruled out any diesel engine options for its upcoming range of cars. With diesel's market share steadily shrinking, Nissan plans to focus on electric vehicles and hybrids to meet the country's tightening emission norms. That means the upcoming Nissan SUV is expected to offer naturally aspirated petrol and turbo petrol engines. There have also been words of strong hybrid powertrain options, though the details are yet to be confirmed.

2026 Nissan SUV India launch timeline
Speaking about the upcoming Nissan SUV launch timeline, which will share its underpinnings with the upcoming Renault Duster, it is said to be launched in India in the middle of 2026. The second SUV—a 7-seater iteration of the first SUV—is said to be launched in 2027, alongside its Renault counterpart. Nissan claims that the second SUV will be a proper 7-seater SUV and not just a 7-seater iteration of the first SUV.
