The Volkswagen Taigun facelift is set to launch on 9 April. Production has already started in India, and with that, Volkswagen has put the full car out in the open. So there’s no guessing left. We already know what’s coming.
This isn’t just a light refresh. The changes on the outside are noticeable and the cabin has been worked on. Inside, you can expect better materials and a few useful feature additions. There’s also talk of a new gearbox being introduced.
Volkswagen Taigun facelift production begins

Production of the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift has begun at Volkswagen Group facility. The Chakan plant plays a central role in Volkswagen Group’s India strategy. It manufactures multiple models built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, catering to both the domestic market and exports.
This is also a shared production hub. Vehicles for both Volkswagen and Škoda are built here, which is why you see a strong overlap in their product lineup and engineering approach.

The 1.5 litre TSI is expected to carry on unchanged as well, delivering 150PS and 250Nm. It should continue to be paired with the 7-speed DSG.
