The new Volkswagen Tayron R-Line steps in as the brand’s premium seven-seater SUV. While the official price is still under wraps, pre-bookings have already begun in India.

The 2026 Tayron carries the baton forward after the quiet exit of the VW Tiguan Allspace, which had been missing from the lineup for nearly four years. This time, the approach is very different. Unlike the Allspace, which was brought to India as a fully imported CBU, the 2026 Tayron R-Line will be locally produced at Volkswagen’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant in Maharashtra.

2026 Volkswagen Tayron R-Line booking open

Volkswagen Tayron bookings are now open in India with a token amount of Rs 51,000. The process is simple and can be completed online in just a few steps.

To book online, visit the official Tayron R-Line page on Volkswagen’s website. The pre-booking option appears just below the main banner on the left. Clicking it takes you to the car selection page, where you can choose the Tayron, pick the engine, and select your preferred colour. There are seven colour options to choose from: Ultraviolet Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Dolphin Grey Metallic, Oryx White Pearl Effect, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Pearl Black, Oyster, and Cipressino Green Metallic.

Next, you’ll fill out a form with your basic details, including name, email, mobile number, address, and more. Once the form is complete, pay the token amount, and your booking is confirmed.

If you prefer handling things in person, you can also book offline by contacting or visiting the nearest Volkswagen authorised dealership and placing a pre-booking directly.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line price & delivery timeline

The 2026 Volkswagen Tayron R-Line delivery timeline is yet to be officially confirmed, but deliveries are expected to begin either by the end of this month or early next month. The price announcement is also expected this month, with estimates placing it upwards of Rs 45 lakh.

Once it arrives, this three-row Volkswagen SUV will step into a crowded premium space, taking on rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, and the upcoming MG Majestic, among others.

The VW Tayron R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 204PS and 320Nm of torque. It comes exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.
