MG Comet EV price hiked by up to Rs 35,700 — Old vs new price list

The MG Comet EV comes in three variants – Executive, Excite, and Exclusive – along with a Blackstorm edition, which is based on the top variant. Amidst the recent update, the carmaker has increased the prices of these variants this May 2025. The hike ranges from Rs 4,000 to as much as Rs 35,700, depending on the variant. The MG Comet Executive price has been increased by Rs 35,700, now coming to Rs 7,35,500. Meanwhile, the Comet Excite price with the 3.3kW AC charger receives a hike of Rs 16,000, while the same variant with the 7.4kW AC charger receives a slightly smaller hike of Rs 4,000. The MG Comet price for the variants – Exclusive with 3.3kW AC, Exclusive FC with 7.4kW AC, and Blackstorm FC with 7.4kW AC – all receive a uniform increase of Rs 5,300.

The MG Comet EV price with BaaS starts at Rs 4.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.49 lakh. The battery rental fee is Rs 2.9 per km, and it's the same across all variants.
MG Comet EV battery specs
The MG Comet EV comes with a 17.3kWh battery pack and its electric motor delivers 42PS of power and 110Nm of torque, paired with an automatic gearbox. The MG Comet range is claimed to be around 230km on a full charge. With a 7.4KW charger, it takes about 3.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%, and with a 3.3KW charger, the full charge takes around 7 hours.
