Toyota Fortuner Adult Occupant Protection Rating 

The Toyota Fortuner has been rated by the ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) NCAP for both, adult occupant protection and child occupant protection. In the adult occupant protection category, the Fortuner has earned a 5-star rating. The SUV scored a 34.03 out of 36 points in its frontal-offset crash test.

The testing body observed that this car offered adept protection to the driver and passenger’s upper body but indicated a slight risk of injuries to the driver’s legs.

Toyota Fortuner Child Occupant Protection Rating 

In the test for child occupants’ safety, the Fortuner scored 43.38 out of 49 points. The testing body noted that ISOFIX mounts and an integrated Child Restraint System (CRS) were present to make the car safe for children.

Toyota Fortuner Safety Assist Test

The Fortuner was also tested to determine its ability to reduce the risk of an accident. ANCAP noted that this SUV was well-equipped with safety features like ABS with EBD, 7 airbags, hill-assist control, an electronic stability control (ESC), Emergency Brake signals and ISOFIX child seat mounts that enhance safety and assist the driver in challenging driving conditions.
