Kia Carens Facelift
The Kia Carens Facelift is an updated version of the highly popular Carens platform. Essentially, it is a more refined iteration of the successful SUV. It seamlessly integrates a more modern aesthetic package with a posher cabin. Key features include a new touchscreen infotainment display, automatic temperature control, and enhanced safety through Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The Carens continues to draw power from the potent yet efficient 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel powertrains, available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The Kia Carens Facelift is available at an ex-showroom price range of approximately ₹11.5 lakh to ₹21.5 lakh. The on-road prices start at around ₹13.2 lakh in New Delhi and ₹13.5 lakh in Mumbai, extending up to ₹24.5 lakh and ₹25.2 lakh respectively. This positions it as a competitively valued three-row SUV. Being a refreshed version of the Carens, this updated model introduces a more contemporary design and upgraded features. With revised styling, cutting-edge technology, and refined interiors, the new version promises a more elevated ownership experience.
The Kia Carens Facelift provides fuel efficiency comparable to the outgoing Carens. This is quite obvious, given its shared underpinnings and engine options. A notable addition is the availability of a 6-speed manual transmission with the turbo-petrol unit. The Carens Facelift 1.5 Turbo petrol mileage figures are rated at 15.95 km/l for the manual transmission and iMT variants, and 16.66 km/l for the DCT version. The turbo-diesel motor gives a mileage of 19.54 km/l with the manual and 17.50 km/l with the automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol variant offers 15.34 km/l.
The Kia Carens Facelift builds upon the Carens' already elaborate feature list. The highlights comprise full LED headlights, connected LED tail lamps, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Like the previous Carens, it offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a BOSE audio setup, and an integrated air purifier.
