If I had to pick one Indian car, it would be the Tata Harrier. For me, the Harrier strikes the best balance between real-world comfort, practicality, and driving confidence. Qualities I truly value as someone who enjoys long-distance driving and cross-country touring. I had the opportunity to drive the Harrier extensively across Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh during a three-week trip to the North East. That journey really highlighted what the Harrier does best is stable highway manners, solid road presence, and excellent ride quality over rough terrain and broken tarmac. The suspension setup and ground clearance handled those conditions effortlessly while offering comfort for long hours behind the wheel. Why I like it: Ride & handling balance: It remains composed even on winding hill roads and uneven surfaces. Comfort & practicality: Supportive seats, spacious cabin, and usable boot space; all important for touring. Robustness: The Land Rover-derived platform feels reassuring and built to last. Value: Tata has improved interiors and features, making it a complete package for its segment.

My favourite car on sale in India today is the Tata Harrier — and I'll explain why in detail. First, it gets the fundamentals right. The Harrier combines strong road presence and a purposeful, mature design with engineering that prioritises comfort and stability. On Indian roads I value a car that feels planted and confident at high speeds, yet absorbs bad patches of tarmac without unsettling the occupants — the Harrier's chassis and suspension package delivers that balance very well. Second, usability and practicality. The cabin is spacious and well-laid-out for driver and passengers, with good ergoNomics for long drives. Its ride and seat comfort make it an excellent tourer for the varied conditions we face in India — city traffic, highways and weekend getaways. The tall stance and good visibility also make day-to-day driving less stressful. Third, build quality and safety focus. What matters to me is a car that feels solid and protects its occupants; Tata's recent products give a reassuring sense of structural integrity and have put safety higher up the priority list. Combined with sensible packaging (space, boot, and easy-to-access serviceability), this delivers real,

The Tata Harrier stands out due to its combination of robust build quality, modern design, and value-for-money features that appeal to Indian car buyers. The Harrier's strong road presence, spacious and well-designed interior, along with advanced safety features like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and a solid chassis, make it ideal for both city driving and long road trips across diverse Indian terrains. Its efficient yet powerful diesel engine provides a perfect balance of performance and fuel ecoNomy, making it practical for everyday use. Additionally, Tata's continuous software updates and feature enhancements demonstrate a commitment to improvement and ownership satisfaction, which resonates with my appreciation for techNology and inNovation in automobiles.

I like it because it strikes a rare and practical balance between safety, road manners, build quality and usable features. First and foremost, safety is a big part of why I prefer the Harrier. Tata Motors has brought the Harrier up to very high safety standards (it achieved top marks in voluntary Global NCAP/Bharat NCAP testing). Beyond crash protection, the Harrier's packaging and engineering feel well thought-out for Indian conditions. Its Kryotec 2.0-litre turbo engine offers strong midrange torque and usable power for highway overtakes and laden city driving — the kind of performance that makes long runs less tiring and more predictable. Ride and handling are where the Harrier really stands out for me. Multiple road tests and owner impressions Note that it has a composed, confidence-inspiring high-speed ride and a suspension setup that soaks up Indian roads while remaining planted on faster stretches — a combination that's rare in this price segment and especially useful for frequent highway travel. The solid build and roomy, well-laid-out cabin make it comfortable for occupants. Finally

Tata Harrier beacuse I love its bold and premium design, which stands out in the SUV segment. The 2.0-liter diesel engine delivers strong performance, while the 6-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth driving. Inside, the cabin is spacious, well-equipped with features like an 8.8-inch touchscreen and premium audio system, and offers excellent comfort. Safety is also a major highlight, with features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and a 5-star NCAP rating. What truly sets the Harrier apart is its value for money, offering a mix of style, performance, and safety at an attractive price. It's the perfect all-rounder SUV for Indian roads.

In my opinion, the Tata Harrier is a vehicle that appeals to me as it is a real SUV that offers very good ride quality. This is what I find most useful in my long drives. The car's platform is what gives it extraordinary stability on the highway, it offers good visibility of the road, and one can drive at high speeds with confidence. The roomy and comfortable interior is also equipped with top-Notch front seats, thus making it possible to drive even for more than 700 kilometers without the feeling of fatigue. The strong 2.0L diesel engine is capable of delivering 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, thereby providing potent power for a quick overtaking on the highway and for ascending the hills. The use of speed control and different terrain modes allow the vehicle to be comfortable in any road conditions that may be met during a long journey. Moreover, the boot space available accommodates is also good. The Harrier's heavy-duty construction, advanced safety features such as 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Control, plus the excellent refinement in terms of Noise, vibration, and harshness make it a luxurious driving experience that turns the long drives into a kind of pleasurable.

Tata Harrier Powerful 2.0L diesel engine with 170hp and hitting top speed of almost 170kmph . Though it has handful of niggles and a lot of improvements needed, harrier is my first car and dream come true ride experience. Gives me a decent mileage of 15-16kmpl in highways and 10-11kmpl within city. On many occasions, saved time and reaching on any terrain is a cake walk with harrier.
- AEauto Enthusiaston 1st December 20254.5
Harrier feels solid on highways and bad roads. The diesel engine has strong power, cabin looks premium, and the ride is comfortable for long family trips. Good road presence and safety rating add confidence.

With its bold design, spacious cabin, and smooth ride, the Tata Harrier stands out. It's easy to maintain, with affordable servicing and readily available parts. Despite some engine noise, it offers decent fuel efficiency and strong safety features. A practical and reliable SUV choice for comfort and convenience seekers.

I have been using Tata Harrier since last 4 years and this is the best SUV in 5 seater segment with muscular with excellent ride comfort. I clocked more than 35k distance on this car, and every time is a joy to ride with. Under the hood it has a robust 2 liter diesel engine, it delivers a satisfying driving experience whether you are on a highway or on a city. I mostly use this car in the city and ride in eco mode which gives around 12 km/L mileage which is very ecoNomical and on the highways it bumps up to 15-17 kms. For me safety is a top priority, and Harriers with solid build quality with 5 star NCAP rating brig me peace of mind. The car's spacious seats easily accommodate my family of five which makes our long journey's a breeze. Me and my wife both drive the car, and even after driving for 4-5 hours we don't feel strained. My daughter enjoys the sun roof and always insists that we press the eco mode to save the fuel. The dual tone red exterior still looks fresh and premium. Some of the downside I encountered were related to the heavy steering which some times hard to navigate in the city, but I got used to it and the service costs are also higher. Overall, for me Tata

The Tata Harrier makes me feel secure and planted and it is about 12–13 kmpl on longer drives. The cabin is roomy and roofline is high. Infotainment is okay but service sometimes takes time. It’s a comfortable long-distance cruiser for family trips. It's undoubtedly a good buy for me.

Tata harrier is a great car in this price bracket of 20-30 L The only negative I found was poor fit and finish and poor service experience Rest this car is great in all aspects Tata is getting better daily and I expect it's service network to improve in coming years .
