About Ruchit

Growing up in Agra, Ruchit came from a family of humble beginnings where responsibility arrived earlier than expected.

After losing his father at a young age, he found himself stepping into a role far beyond his years. As the eldest of three brothers, he learned early that life rewards those who are willing to shoulder responsibility and keep moving forward, even when circumstances are difficult. Sports were never his arena like many of his peers, classrooms were.

While others chased trophies on the field, Ruchit channelled his energy into academics, discovering both a talent and a competitive streak that would shape the rest of his career. That determination culminated in securing All India Rank 33 in the Chartered Accountancy examinations, one of the country's most competitive professional qualifications.

His journey then took him from Infosys to Cornell University in New York, before building a successful career in investment banking. Joining the industry during the 2008 global financial crisis, he navigated one of the most challenging periods in modern finance and went on to become Vice President at Bank of America.

For Ruchit, success has always come down to two simple ideas: ambition and hard work. The ambition to compete with the very best and the willingness to outwork expectations in pursuit of excellence. He brings that same mindset everyday to work.

Turning Point

Five years into a successful banking career, Ruchit found himself at a crossroads.

The work was rewarding but it was also consuming. Long hours had become the norm, with weekends often spent at the office. It took honest conversations with family to make him realise how much of life existed outside. An opportunity to relocate to India through Bank of America gave him a chance to reset. But six months after returning, another realisation struck. India was changing.

A new generation of entrepreneurs was emerging, startups were reshaping industries, and some of the country's most ambitious builders were choosing creation over convention. Ruchit found himself increasingly drawn to these conversations.

That curiosity eventually led him to meet Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal. What started as a conversation became a conviction. He left the predictability of investment banking to help build Cars24, betting on entrepreneurship, scale and the opportunity to create something meaningful from the ground up. The rest, as they say, is history.

Superpower

Relentless work ethic.
Even today, at 40, he has the ability to outwork almost anyone in the room.

It just needs to be fast.

Fun Fact

Most people know Ruchit as a finance leader. Fewer know that he treats fitness with the same discipline he brings to business. His mornings start in the gym and he's as passionate about pushing his limits under a barbell as he is at work.

There's a good chance he can outlift you, outrun you, or both.
