2025 Land Rover Defender revealed with minor updates — Details here!

Land Rover has updated the Defender SUV with minor exterior tweaks and feature additions for the 2025 model year, notably adding a larger touchscreen and a new design for the alloy wheels. The same has been launched in the UK, and is soon expected to make its way to the Indian market. Here’s all that’s new on the 2025 Land Rover Defender SUV.

Land Rover Defender design changes

JLR has supposedly made changes to the headlights, tail lights, and the front grille of the SUV, though they are very subtle and not really noticeable. There’s a new design for the alloy wheels, and a couple of new colour options as well.

Land Rover Defender interior and features tweaks

On the inside, the SUV gets a larger 13.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment unit, along with a steering column-mounted driver attention monitoring camera that is mandated by EU legislation. The climate controls are still physical buttons and dials (which is good!).

Land Rover Defender engine options

The Defender is offered in a wide range of powertrain options, and there’s no information about any change in the same. The India-spec cars come with the option of a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, 2.0-litre plug-in-hybrid setup, 3.0-litre diesel engine, 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine, and a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine.

New Land Rover Defender India launch details

Exact launch timeline of the Land Rover Defender 2025 is yet to be announced, though we expect it to be here very soon. The SUV is currently priced between Rs 1.05 crore and Rs 2.79 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) at present, though prices could soon come down with the advent of local assembly.
