It is well known that Tata is coming up with a facelifted version of its Altroz hatchback this month, with the car being significantly updated in terms of styling features for the first time since its launch back in 2020. The Indian carmaker has just put out a teaser video ahead of the car’s official launch. Tata Altroz Facelift design changes

As seen in the video, the updated Altroz gets a new stylish grille at the front with fancier headlights than the outgoing model. The rear gets a connected lightbar just like most new cars in India, and there’s the ALTROZ badging further down the boot lid. The car can also be seen with a new set of aero-ish wheels and flush door handles.

New Tata Altroz feature additions

Apart from the enhancements done on the exterior, the updated hatchback will also naturally come with more features inside the cabin like 360-degree cameras, a larger touchscreen, and ventilated front seats, a few of which are already available on the Altroz Racer but could be offered further down the variant ladder. The interior layout might also see a revision, though we do not have any concrete details about the same.

Tata Altroz engine options

Expect Tata to offer the same set of powertrain options as the current model, which includes 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT, a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 6-speed manual gearbox, the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit with the normal petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 5-speed manual. Notably, the Tata Altroz diesel is the only hatchback in its segment to still be offered with a diesel engine.

Tata Altroz Facelift 2025 India launch date

The new Tata Altroz India launch shall take place on May 22, 2025, with the car going against other popular hatchbacks in India like the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Baleno. The new Tata Altroz price in India is expected to start northwards of Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
