2026 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro launched at Rs 3.80 crore — All you need to know!

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG G 63 Offroad Pro in India at Rs 3.80 crore, ex-showroom. It is a limited-run variant of the AMG G 63 and gets several AMG-specific off-road upgrades. The new version costs Rs 6 lakh more than the standard G 63 and will be sold in limited numbers.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro: suspension and off-road hardware

The biggest changes on the Offroad Pro are focused on its off-road capability. It gets Active Ride Control suspension with active roll stabilisation, along with Active Balance Control. The latter allows the roll stiffness to be adjusted across three stages depending on the terrain.

It also gets a new Traction Pro mode within the Rock and Sand drive modes. The system can control braking torque at each individual wheel and offers seven stages of locking. This allows the driver to adjust the traction level based on the surface and driving conditions.

The Offroad Pro also comes with a roof luggage rack with aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder. These additions are aimed at carrying extra equipment for off-road and overlanding trips. It rides on exclusive 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in matte black.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro cabin and technology

Inside, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro gets a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with Mercedes' MBUX NTG7 multimedia system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with USB-C ports, are standard. An augmented reality navigation system is also available as an option.

The displays can show several off-road parameters, including the vehicle's position, compass, altitude, steering angle, tyre pressure and temperature, as well as the status of the differential locks. It also gets a transparent bonnet function, which uses the camera system to provide a view of the area under the front of the SUV. This can help the driver spot rocks, ruts and other obstacles. Other features include ambient lighting and an 18-speaker, 760W Burmester 3D surround-sound system. Safety features include Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and a 360-degree camera.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro engine and performance

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine as the standard AMG G 63. It produces 585hp and 850Nm of torque and is paired with a 22hp 48V mild-hybrid system. All-wheel drive is standard, while Mercedes claims a 0-100kph time of 4.4 seconds. Despite the additional off-road hardware, the Offroad Pro retains the strong straight-line performance of the standard AMG G 63.
