Citroen Basalt X has received a price hike again. This is the second time in 2026 that the Basalt X has become more expensive. Earlier in January, Citroen raised the prices, and now it has done the same again. 

 

After this latest revision, the New Basalt X prices across all variants have gone up by Rs 37000 to Rs 40000. The entry-level You variant now starts at Rs 8.55 lakh, while the top-end Max DT automatic sits at Rs 13.95 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.

Citroen Basalt has received another price hike, impacting almost the entire lineup. The latest Basalt X price update shows most variants have become costlier by around Rs 40,000. In the 1.2L normal petrol manual range, the ‘You’ variant gets a Rs 40,000 hike, while the ‘Plus’ trim receives a slightly lower increase of Rs 37,000. Moving to the turbo petrol manual variants (Plus, Max, Max DT), all see a uniform Rs 40,000 increase. The same applies to the turbo petrol automatic (TC) lineup, where Plus, Max and Max DT variants also get a flat Rs 40,000 hike.

2025 Citroen Basalt X powertrain options

 

Under the hood, the Basalt X continues with the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 110PS. The torque figures remain unchanged—190Nm with the manual transmission and 205Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Lower variants continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 82PS of power and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only.
