Honda June 2025 car sales record 89.8% drop in exports!

Things haven’t been working well for Honda Cars India, with the carmaker recording a stark 89.8% decline in exports in the month of June 2025, as compared to the same month last year. Domestic sales also dropped by 3.9%. Here’s an analysis of the Honda June 2025 car sales, with both month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons.

MoM and YoY analysis

The carmaker recorded a 14.4% fall in sales from May 2025, with 861 less units sold in June 2025. While domestic sales grew by 16.9%, exports fell drastically by 75.1%. The net year-on-year growth stood at a negative 47.6%, with domestic sales falling by 3.9%, and international sales by 89.8%.

New Honda City Sport Edition

Honda India recently launched a cosmetic edition for the City sedan, called the Honda City Sport Edition. The City Sport packs in 16-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, blacked-out exterior elements like the front grille, shark fin antenna, and radiator grille. There’s also a black boot lid spoiler, and an all-black interior with red inserts. No mechanical changes have been made to the car. The Honda City Sport Edition price in India has been set as Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which translates to a premium of Rs 50,000 over the V trim that it is based on.
