At its first-ever Investor Day, Hyundai India laid out a big, clear roadmap for the years ahead. By 2030, the company plans to roll out 26 new launches, which will include new nameplates, full model changes, facelifts, and more updates across the board.
A big part of this plan, highlighted during the Hyundai investor day, is the introduction of 8 hybrid model launches by 2030. Carmaker also confirmed a dedicated localised EV for India, designed and built specifically for the local market.
In addition, Hyundai is gearing up to enter the MPV and off-road segments, both of which are part of the broader Hyundai 2030 roadmap. More details on the upcoming Hyundai models and other key goals from the Investor Day are covered below — including what’s launching, when to expect it, and how it fits into Hyundai’s long-term India strategy.
Upcoming Hyundai hybrid models in India by 2030

By 2030, Hyundai India has announced plans to launch 26 new models across various segments in the domestic market. Of these, eight will be new hybrid models, featuring both brand-new nameplates and existing ones. Among the upcoming hybrids, the Hyundai Creta hybrid launch in India is one of the most anticipated, closely followed by the expected Venue hybrid.
Earlier, the company introduced its next-generation Hybrid System, which includes two new powertrains. The first is a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid, likely designated for larger vehicles. The second, a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid, is expected to power several of Hyundai’s upcoming hybrid models in India.
With these initiatives, Hyundai is not merely expanding its lineup — it is transforming it. The company is clearly moving beyond a petrol- and CNG-dominant portfolio, aiming to substantially increase the proportion of hybrids in its overall volume.
Upcoming Hyundai MPV & off-road SUV launch confirmed

Among the seven new nameplates Hyundai has planned for India, two have already been confirmed—one of them being an MPV. What’s still unclear is whether Hyundai will target the mass-market segment with rivals like the Maruti Ertiga, Kia Carens, and Toyota Innova, or take a more premium route with a model positioned against the likes of the Kia Carnival.
Another is an upcoming Hyundai off-road model, also on the way. This SUV is expected to take on rugged competitors like the Mahindra Thar, Maruti Jimny, Force Gurkha, and others.
India’s first localised Hyundai EV coming — Genesis on the roadmap

By 2027, Hyundai will bring its luxury brand Genesis to India, marking its entry into the premium segment. Around the same time, the company will also launch its first dedicated, localised Hyundai compact SUV EV for the Indian market.
This new electric SUV will sit below the upcoming Creta EV in Hyundai’s lineup. It’s set to be offered in both standard and long-range versions and will come equipped with advanced infotainment, OTA updates, and Level 2 ADAS features. Hyundai also promises a strong focus on safety, with a high-strength body structure designed to deliver what it calls uncompromised safety.
Hyundai India’s 2030 plan: massive investment, export focus, and eco-powertrain push

Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced an investment plan of Rs 45,000 crore by FY2030. Along with new product launches, the company is aiming for over 15% domestic market share in the coming years. It also targets UVs and eco-friendly powertrains — CNG, EVs, and hybrids — to contribute more than 80% and 50% respectively to its overall portfolio by FY2030.
Hyundai is doubling down on its role as a key export hub, with a goal of exports making up 30% of its total volumes by the end of the decade. On the manufacturing front, the company is pushing toward a more tech-driven approach, including plans for a Software Defined Factory and deeper localisation.
Financially, Hyundai is aiming to grow revenues by 1.5 times, targeting Rs 1 lakh crore by FY2030 while maintaining strong double-digit EBITDA margins. The company has also announced a dividend payout range between 20% and 40%, giving a clear direction for shareholder returns.
Hyundai India names Tarun Garg as first Indian MD & CEO starting 2026

Amid the key announcements at its Investor Day, Hyundai India also confirmed the appointment of Mr Tarun Garg as the next Managing Director and CEO, effective January 1, 2026, pending shareholder approval. With this move, Mr Garg will become the first Indian national to lead Hyundai Motor India in its nearly 30-year history.
