According to recent reports, the third-generation Creta will get a hybrid powertrain as part of its expanded engine lineup. Let's scroll down as I walk you through the top 5 things to expect from the upcoming Hyundai Creta hybrid launch.
Upcoming Hyundai Creta hybrid exterior and interior

The new Hyundai Creta hybrid will be a key part of the next-generation Creta lineup. When the Creta received its facelift in 2024, it underwent a major transformation, with significant updates not only to its exterior design but also to the interior. Now, with the next generation coming, we can expect even more improvements, especially to the design of the third-gen Creta exterior.
At the front, Hyundai is expected to update the headlamps, grille, and bumper to give the car a fresher and more modern look to Creta Hybrid. At the same time, the rear section isn’t being left behind — it’s expected to receive subtle yet impactful tweaks, anticipated around the taillights and bumper.
Inside, the Hyundai Creta interior already looks clean and stylish. But with the new generation, we can probably see some upgrades like a new interior theme, a redesigned dashboard, and other updated features,
New Hyundai Creta hybrid features

The outgoing Hyundai Creta already offers an impressive list of features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, 8 speakers, wireless charger, 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, blind-spot view monitor, and Level 2 ADAS, among others.
But as technology advances, the demand for smarter, more advanced features only grows stronger. The new Creta Hybrid feature lineup is expected to be a blend of the current offerings, combined with fresh tech-savvy updates.
Next-gen Hyundai Creta engines

The third-gen Hyundai Creta is likely to continue with the same trusted powertrain options as before — a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol paired with either a 6-speed manual or IVT, a 1.5-litre diesel available with a 6-speed manual or automatic, and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol that is likely to come exclusively with a 7-speed DCT.
Alongside these, the new Hyundai Creta hybrid powertrain will make its debut, which is likely to feature an efficient 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid setup.
Upcoming Hyundai Creta hybrid rivals

Upon its launch, the Hyundai Creta hybrid is set to strategically take on existing rivals like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, while also going head-to-head with upcoming models such as the Kia Seltos hybrid and Renault Duster hybrid, among others.
Hyundai Creta hybrid launch timeline in India
The Hyundai Creta hybrid India launch is reported to happen in 2027, with production planned at Hyundai’s plant in Tamil Nadu.
With the limitations of electric vehicles and growing regulatory pressure under the CAFE Phase 3 norms, Hyundai is turning to hybrid powertrains as a smart and practical solution. Before the Creta hybrid arrives, Hyundai is already working on the new Hyundai N1i SUV, which will be the brand’s first hybrid model and will launch ahead of the Creta Hybrid. This new SUV will be positioned above the Alcazar but below the Tucson.
