Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported total sales of 60,924 units in June 2025. This includes 44,024 units sold in the domestic market and 16,900 units exported to global markets. The company maintained its momentum during the first quarter of FY2026, with cumulative sales reaching 1,80,399 units for the April–June period. Domestic sales contributed 1,32,259 units, while exports stood at 48,140 units.

SUVs Continue to Drive Domestic Demand
In the domestic market, SUVs remained a key growth driver for Hyundai, accounting for 67.6% of its total domestic sales in June 2025. The sustained customer preference for Hyundai’s SUV portfolio underlines the brand's strong product acceptance and market presence. Popular SUV models like the Creta and Venue continue to bring a large chunk of its total sales whereas key updates to models like the Exter and Alcazar maintain lineup sustenance.
Q1 FY2026 Exports Grow by 13% YoY
Hyundai’s export performance in Q1 FY2026 reflected a 13% year-on-year growth, rising from 42,600 units in Q1 FY2025 to 48,140 units this year. Export volumes contributed 26.7% to the overall quarterly sales, up from 22.2% in the corresponding period last year. This marks a positive trend in Hyundai’s international market strategy. Commenting on the increasing export volumes, Tarun Garg, whole-time director and COO said, “Underscoring the global appeal of Hyundai vehicles, we recorded a 13% year-on-year growth in export volumes for Q1 FY2026, with 48,140 units shipped compared to 42,600 units in the same period last year. This has elevated the share of exports to 26.7% of total sales in Q1 FY2026, up from 22.2% in Q1 FY2025".
