Jeep India has unveiled a new special edition of the Wrangler called the Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition. It is based on the Rubicon variant and gets a set of cosmetic updates, while the mechanical package remains unchanged. The standard Wrangler Rubicon is currently priced at Rs 70.8 lakh, ex-showroom, and the Whitecap Mojito is expected to cost slightly more.
Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition exterior changes
The Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito edition is available in the Mojito green exterior colour with a white roof. The front grille gets a white surround, while the sides feature '1941' decals, referring to the year the original Willys MB Jeep was introduced.
The edition also gets body-coloured fenders and a white '4 Wheel Drive' sticker on the boot lid. These changes are limited to the exterior styling, with no changes to the Wrangler's overall design or hardware.
Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito interior and features
Inside, the Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition gets a built-in dashcam and reinforced grab handles, which are not offered on the standard Rubicon. The rest of the cabin and features are carried over from the Rubicon. These include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way powered front seats, ADAS, six airbags, dual-zone climate control, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system with a subwoofer and a 7-inch driver's display.
Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition engine and gearbox
The Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Mojito uses the same powertrain as the Wrangler Rubicon. It gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine producing 272hp and 400Nm.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a standard 4x4 system. There are no mechanical or performance changes, so the main difference with this special edition is its exterior styling and the few additional cabin features.
