JSW MG Motor India sales rise 19% to 8,018 units in September 2026

JSW MG Motor India recorded a 19% year-on-year increase in wholesale dispatches to dealers, reaching 8,018 units in September 2026. The company said the growth was supported by continued customer interest in its product range, including the recently launched MG Hector Tomahawk EV and its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version.

Hector Tomahawk EV deliveries begin across India

A key reason behind this month's growth is the start of Hector Tomahawk EV dispatches to dealerships across India. Customer deliveries of the electric SUV have now started in several markets. The September sales figures offer the first indication of how the new Hector Tomahawk range is starting to contribute to the company's overall sales, as this was the first month when the model reached dealerships in larger numbers.

The Hector Tomahawk EV is available with two ownership options. The first is the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which reduces the upfront price by separating the battery cost from the vehicle price and charging it through an ongoing payment. The second is the regular ownership option, where the battery cost is included in the vehicle's purchase price.

MG's growing EV footprint in India

JSW MG Motor India has built a strong presence in India's electric vehicle market, with more than 1.5 lakh EVs sold since the company launched its first electric model in the country. The MG Windsor continues to be the company's biggest EV seller and remains India's No.1-selling EV.

With the addition of the Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV, JSW MG Motor India is expanding its range of electrified vehicles. The company now offers products using both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid technology, giving customers more options within its lineup.
