The Kia Carens Clavis EV is said to be built on the same platform that the Hyundai Creta EV is built on. In the recently spied test mule of this upcoming electric Kia MPV, similar design cues were noticed, with a familiar silhouette clearly visible even through the camouflage. Still, there will be some unique design touches to set it apart, but overall, the familiarity is easy to spot.
Ahead of the official confirmation on its arrival date, the Kia Carens Clavis EV launch month has been revealed, and it looks like the launch is not too far away. Let’s take a look at what has been revealed so far about this upcoming model, along with its launch timeline.

According to sources, the Kia Clavis will launch in India in the second half of the year, around July. In the market, it will compete with rivals like the MG Windsor EV, which is currently one of the trending models, along with the BYD eMax 7 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Kia Carens Clavis EV battery specs
The Kia Clavis EV will be Kia’s first locally developed electric vehicle made specifically for the Indian market. According to reports, this EV will share its platform with the Hyundai Creta EV.
The Creta EV is offered with two battery options — a 42kWh pack with a claimed range of 390 km, and a 51.4kWh pack that offers a claimed range of 473 km. The IPMSM motor paired with the 42kWh battery produces 135PS of power, while the larger 51.4kWh setup delivers 171PS.
Kia Carens Clavis EV price expectations
The Kia Clavis is priced between Rs 11.49 lakh and Rs 21.49 lakh for the ICE version. Meanwhile, the Clavis EV price is expected to be somewhere between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom).
