Kia sales May 2025 — Registers 14% YoY growth!

While its parent company is struggling to maintain its numbers in India, Kia is faring well, with a solid 14% year-on-year growth recorded in the month of May 2025. The carmaker is constantly launching new products in India, with the most recent ones being the Syros compact SUV and the Clavis MPV. Here’s an analysis of the Kia car sales in May 2025 in India, with both month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons.

Month-on-month performance

Month-on-month sales saw a 5.5% fall, with 1,308 less units sold in May 2025 as compared to April 2025.

Year-on-year performance

Year-on-year sales witnessed a 14.4% positive growth, with 2,815 more units sold in May 2025 when compared to the same month last year.

Upcoming Kia cars in India

Kia recently launched a few new cars and SUVs in the Indian market, catering to various customer profiles. These include the Kia Syros sub-compact SUV, the Kia Carens Clavis MPV, which is essentially a facelifted version of the Kia Carens, Kia EV6 facelift, Kia Carnival luxury MPV, and its flagship car in India, the Kia EV9. The carmaker has the upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV launch in India scheduled for July 2025, with the Kia Syros EV expected to soon follow.
