As per a notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Saudi Arabia, 1,552 units of the Nissan Magnite sub-compact SUV have been recalled in the country. The reason for the recall is said to be a potentially defective brake pipe that might cause brake fluid leakage, resulting in reduced brake efficiency and increasing the risk of accidents. The Saudi Arabian-spec Magnite comes in an LHD configuration, unlike the RHD one that is sold here in India.

Remedies for owners

Owners of the affected vehicles are advised by the Ministry to reach out to Petromin Nissan, the local dealer, in order to get necessary repairs carried out. This would, of course, be at no cost to the owners.
