New Mahindra SUV platform incoming
Mahindra will take the wraps off its new SUV platform on August 15, 2025, following the tradition of showcasing new products on the Independence day. This year, it is going to be a new platform, which is likely to underpin several models in the coming years. While reports are scarce, reports suggest that the upcoming SUV platform will target scalability and support different top hats. There are also rumours about this platform supporting multiple powertrain options, including ICE, hybrid and even electric.

Upcoming Mahindra SUVs in India
At the earnings call, Mahindra also revealed its future roadmap, confirming the launch of five all-new internal combustion SUVs by the year 2030. One of these five SUVs is set to be launched in India in 2026, along with the facelifted iterations of two existing SUVs. We expect these two spaces to be filled by the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift and Mahindra Thar facelift.
Speaking about the all-new SUV model, several reports are hinting towards the new-gen Bolero, since the existing one is too long in the tooth. However, some reports hint towards an all-new model slotted below the XUV700 to rival models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. These rumours become even stronger ever since Mahindra pulled the plug on the 5-seater variants of the XUV700, thereby creating a space for a smaller 5-seater new SUV.
