Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported overall auto sales of 1,14,874 vehicles in September 2026, including exports, registering a 15% year-on-year growth. Its Utility Vehicles segment, which includes its SUV range, recorded domestic sales of 64,092 units, up 14% compared with the same month last year.

 

The company also crossed a key milestone during the month, with cumulative sales of its Electric Origin SUVs crossing the 1 lakh mark since their launch.

Mahindra sold 64,092 Utility Vehicles in the domestic market in September 2026, compared with 56,233 units in the same month last year. This translates to a 14% year-on-year growth. For the current financial year so far, Utility Vehicle sales have reached 3,58,142 units, up 20% from 2,97,570 units during the same period last year.

 

Mahindra's Passenger Vehicle sales, which include Utility Vehicles along with cars and vans, also stood at 64,092 units for September. The figures are the same as the UV sales as the company currently does not sell cars or vans separately from its Utility Vehicle range.

Mahindra commercial vehicle and 3-wheeler sales

 

Mahindra's commercial vehicle and 3-wheeler segments also recorded growth in September 2026. Domestic sales of LCVs below 2 tonnes increased 19% to 4,044 units, while LCVs in the 2 to 3.5-tonne category grew 13% to 26,376 units.

The 3-wheeler segment, including electric 3-wheelers, recorded the highest growth among these categories. Sales increased 26% to 16,343 units in September.

Mahindra export performance

 

Mahindra exported 4,019 vehicles in September 2026, down 7% from 4,320 units in the same month last year. However, exports have grown strongly on a year-to-date basis. The company exported 30,031 units during the period, up 48% from 20,303 units in the same period last year.
