Maruti Suzuki sales in April 2025 — YOY rises but MOM drops

Maruti Suzuki car sales in April 2025 stood at 1,79,791 units, compared to 1,68,089 units in the same month last year. However, in terms of MOM growth, there was a drop of 13,193 units from the previous month. Maruti Suzuki car sales in the passenger vehicle segment for the domestic market stood at 1,38,704 units in April 2025, showing a small year-on-year growth of 0.55%. At the same time, the total Maruti domestic sales, including units of the Super Carry, stood at 1,42,053.
Maruti Suzuki export sales also saw a positive rise, with 5,751 more units exported compared to the same month last year, taking the total exports to 27,911 units in April 2025. Sales to OEMs went up as well, with 9,827 units delivered.
The overall Maruti Suzuki total car sales, combining both domestic and export numbers, reached 1,79,791 units. This shows a steady growth compared to April 2024, when the carmaker had sold 1,68,089 units.

As for the month-on-month (MoM) growth of the Maruti car sales, it’s been seen that the year began on a strong note for the carmaker, with 2,12,251 units sold in January 2025. This boost was quite natural, as there were many discounts offered to clear out the leftover stock that had been sitting idle in inventory.
But as the months went by, the sales numbers started to slowly decline. In February, Maruti recorded 1,99,400 units sold, followed by 1,92,984 units in March, and then 1,79,791 units in April. The pattern shows a steady drop in monthly sales after the high start at the starting of the year.
