MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV full price list — Comparing regular pricing against BaaS

Alongside the Hector Tomahawk EV, MG has also launched the plug-in hybrid Hector Tomahawk PHEV with its own separate set of prices, both under a straight ex-showroom purchase and through MG's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme. Unlike the electric version, the PHEV comes in a more compact two-variant lineup—Exclusive and Excite.

The MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV is available in two variants, Exclusive and Essence, with both offered only in a 7-seat layout. The Exclusive is priced at Rs 25.70 lakh, while the top-spec Essence costs Rs 27.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Choosing BaaS for the Exclusive variant reduces the upfront price by around Rs 3.9 lakh compared with buying the vehicle outright. The price difference is similar for the Essence variant. The PHEV has a smaller battery than a full EV, so its battery rental is also lower at Rs 3.2 per km, compared with the Rs 4.90 per km charged for the Tomahawk EV.

MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV specs, range, and charging

The Tomahawk PHEV gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. The petrol engine produces 101hp and 125Nm, while the electric motor makes 198hp and 237Nm. They work together with a dedicated hybrid transmission. The PHEV gets a 20.5kWh battery, which offers more than 115km of electric-only range. It also has a 52-litre fuel tank, giving it a claimed total range of over 1,100km with a full charge and full tank. The 0- 100 km/h sprint takes under 9 seconds.

For charging, a 25kW DC charger takes around 35 minutes to charge the battery from 30 to 80%. With a 3.3kW AC charger, a full 10- 100% charge takes around 7.5 hours.
