MG Windsor Pro India launch date revealed — Bigger battery pack, ADAS and more

Confirming the circulating rumours, MG Motor India has confirmed the arrival of the Windsor Pro, which will feature a larger battery pack and new features over the standard Windsor EV. MG Windsor Pro India launch date

MG Motor India is said to launch the Windsor Pro in the Indian market on May 6, 2025. A few spy shots reveal the car being driven on the roads without any camouflage, hitting towards the commencement of dealership dispatches. We expect MG Motor India to commence Windsor Pro bookings on the launch day itself.

2025 MG Windsor EV Pro to get a larger battery pack

Since its launch, the single biggest complaint with the Windsor EV has been the lack of a large battery pack option. It currently comes with a 38kWh battery pack that is good for a claimed range of 280-300km on a single charge. However, MG is now gearing up to introduce a larger battery pack to the Windsor Pro, which is rumoured to be a 50kWh unit. All the key rivals of the Windsor EV, namely the Creta Electric, Nexon EV and Curvv EV, come with a larger battery pack option for those who want to curb range anxiety. 

2025 MG Windsor Pro features

In addition to the larger battery pack, the new 2025 MG Windsor EV Pro will also offer a few additional features over the current mode, which will also include advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS). With the ADAS package, the Windsor EV is likely to pack in features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, auto emergency braking and a lot more. 

MG Windsor EV specifications 

The MG Windsor EV currently comes with a 38kWh battery pack that powers a front-mounted electric motor. Its electric motor puts out 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. As we mentioned earlier, the Windsor EV currently does around 300km on a single charge, which is set to increase by a considerable margin with the arrival of a larger battery pack. Needless to say, the addition of a larger battery pack will also increase the price of the Windsor EV, which currently retails between Rs 14 lakh and 16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
