The 2026 Kia Seltos is the first model in the Indian market to ride on Kia’s advanced K3 platform. At the unveiling, almost everything worth knowing was revealed. The only detail still missing is the new Seltos price list which is scheduled to be announced on 2 January 2026.
There’s also a fresh update that matters just as much. Production of the model has officially begun in India at Kia’s familiar manufacturing plant signalling that the rollout is moving ahead as planned.

New gen Kia Seltos production kicks off in India
Production of the second-gen Kia Seltos has officially begun at the Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, India. Dispatches are also underway, with the first unit already rolled out.
The same facility produces other Kia models as well, including the Kia Sonet, Syros, and Clavis Carens. Vehicles built here serve both the Indian domestic market and export orders making this plant a key hub for Kia’s operations in the region.'

The 2026 Kia Seltos carries over the same engine options as its predecessor. The 1.5L petrol comes with a 6-speed manual or CVT. The 1.5L turbo petrol is available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The 1.5L diesel can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.

New Kia Seltos price & rivals
The previous-generation Seltos was priced between Rs 10.79 lakh and Rs 19.81 lakh. The new Seltos ex-showroom price is expected to rise, likely ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. It will compete with models like the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Vitara, and several others.

Kia Seltos 2026 bookings have already opened both offline and online, with a token amount of Rs 25,000. The new Seltos delivery timeline is scheduled to begin from mid-January.
