Honda Elevate engine specifications — old and new

There is no change in the engine room. Both the old and the facelift Elevate use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Power is 121 PS at 6,600 rpm, and torque is 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Both models offer a 6-speed manual and a CVT.

Because the engine and gearbox options are the same, the change in the CVT figure is not linked to a new powertrain.

The table below puts the claimed figures side by side. The facelift numbers are certified under Rule 115 of CMVR 1989.

The manual figure is identical. The Honda Elevate CVT mileage is the only number that has moved. The drop is 0.31 km/l, which is about 1.8%. The CVT is still the more efficient version, with a gap of 1.30 km/l over the manual. Honda has not explained why the CVT claim is lower. The facelift adds more equipment, but the company has not linked this to the change, so it should not be treated as the reason.
