Making a comeback in the SUV space, the next gen Renault Duster has finally been teased, marking the start of its long-awaited launch journey. In the teaser shared on Renault’s social media pages, the company also revealed the new Renault Duster launch date officially starting the countdown.
This new entry could be just what Renault needs to spark fresh interest in the brand and lift its sales in the market. The Duster name still carries strong recognition among SUV buyers, and its return could bring some much-needed momentum to Renault’s lineup. Let’s take a closer look at the next-gen Renault Duster launch date, expected features, specs, rivals, and what to expect from this exciting comeback.
New Renault Duster to launch soon — What's coming?

The Renault Duster has been closely tied to India’s SUV landscape. The first generation arrived in July 2012 and stayed on sale until February 2022, building a loyal following over the years. Two generations have passed in India since then, and now, with the third-generation model, the Duster is making its re-entry.
The global-spec Duster uses the CMF-B platform, developed by Renault and Nissan, and the India-spec model will likely follow the same base with key updates for local buyers. Interestingly, the upcoming Nissan Tekton will share its platform with the new Duster, with a launch likely around mid-2026, between April and June.
New Renault Duster design

While the spied test mule doesn’t reveal much about the SUV, the global model has already been on sale for a while now, and its design is unlikely to see any major changes. When viewed from the front three-quarters, the new Duster looks very similar to the first generational model. It gets a new front grille design, and lots of triads all throughout its exterior and interior. The rear gets a more squared-off design. The SUV will feature Renault’s new logo that we first saw on the Renault Triber facelift.
Next gen Renault Duster features

Compared to the old Renault Duster interior, the third-gen Duster cabin shows a big improvement, designed to match what buyers want today. It features a dual-layered dashboard with a 10.01-inch floating touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, multi-zone climate control, 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, three-spoke steering wheel, cruise control, and sunroof, among other upgrades.
The new Duster safety features are also expected to be comprehensive, including six airbags, ABS, ESP, Isofix mounts, TPMS, EBD, IRVM, rear parking sensors, and more. Top trims are also anticipated to get ADAS features.
New Renault Duster powertrain options

The engine options for the new Duster are not officially confirmed yet, but it is expected to come with a 1.3L turbo-petrol engine. There’s also talk that a smaller 1.0L turbo-petrol could be offered for the base trims giving buyers a more affordable option. On top of that, a hybrid variant has long been discussed and could make its way into the lineup.
Next gen Renault Duster launch date revealed

The Renault Duster debut in India is scheduled for 26th January 2026, not 2025 as previously speculated. Renault may not reveal the new Duster price on the same day, though it’s not certain. The price is expected to fall between Rs 10 lakh and 18 lakh ex-showroom.
