New Skoda Slavia rolls off Pune production line ahead of festive launch

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has started production of the facelifted Slavia at its Pune plant. This brings the sedan closer to customer deliveries. The facelift was revealed on 18 August 2026, and pre-bookings are already open. With production now underway, Skoda is on track to begin deliveries during the festive season.
Skoda Slavia facelift production and delivery timeline
Production of the Slavia facelift has now started at Skoda's Pune facility. The company plans to announce variant-wise prices in the first week of October 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin around the festive period, ahead of Diwali. Customers who have already pre-booked the sedan online or at a dealership will be among the first to receive their cars once billing starts.
What's new on the Skoda Slavia facelift
The facelift gets several design and feature updates. At the front, it gets a new grille and updated headlamp detailing. At the rear, the changes include revised tail lamps, sequential turn indicators and a new connecting trim with SKODA lettering between the lamps.
The facelift also adds two new colours, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. However, deliveries of the Cappuccino Beige shade are expected to begin only from December. The dashboard design remains largely unchanged, but the cabin now gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. Other additions include a 360-degree surround-view camera and a rear-seat massage function.

Skoda Slavia facelift engine options
The Slavia facelift continues with the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engines. The main change is to the 1.0 TSI's automatic gearbox. It now gets a new 8-speed torque converter automatic, replacing the previous 6-speed torque converter unit. A 6-speed manual continues to be available with the 1.0 TSI. The larger 1.5 TSI engine continues to come exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Skoda Slavia facelift expected price and rivals
Skoda will reveal the official prices in the first week of October. The facelift is expected to start at around Rs 10-11 lakh, with the top variants expected to extend into the high teens. The overall price range is expected to remain broadly similar to the outgoing model. The Slavia will continue to compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus. The Virtus is also expected to receive a mid-life update around the same time.
