Volkswagen launched the third generation of the Tiguan SUV in India around three months back, available exclusively in the R-Line trim. It directly rivals other D-segment SUVs in India like the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner. What’s noteworthy is that within three months from its official launch, VW has started offering discounts as high as Rs 3 lakh on the new-gen model. Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line offers July 2025
As per our dealer sources, discounts on the Tiguan R-Line reach up to Rs 3 lakh in the month of July 2025. This includes a cash discount of Rs 2 lakh, an exchange bonus up to Rs 50,000, and corporate benefits worth Rs 50,000.

2025 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line price in India
While the car is priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), its effective price comes down to Rs 46 lakh after the offers that are going on presently. This, of course, does not include insurance, road tax, and other charges. The SUV comes as a CBU to India, thereby attracting high taxes.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line engine specs
The third-gen Tiguan comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and VW's 4Motion AWD system. The claimed system output stands at 204PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque.

VW Tiguan design and interior
As mentioned earlier, the new Tiguan is exclusively available in the R-Line trim. It gets R-inspired 19-inch alloy wheels, a connected LED light bar at the rear, R-Line badging, connected front lights, and a decently-large front grille. Key Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display, TPMS, premium speakers, three-zone climate control, front massage seats, ADAS, nine airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and more.
