Land Rover has launched the Range Rover SV Masara Edition in the Indian market at Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Masara Edition takes inspiration from the rare Sapphires from the Himalayan region and is limited to just 12 units. The name Masara has its origin in Sanskrit, to truly reflect its connection with Indian culture. Offered as an exclusive edition for the Indian market, the Masara Edition comes specced in the top-spec SV variant of the Range Rover. The exterior highlight of the Masara Edition is its unique deep satin blue exterior colour that takes inspiration from the unique sapphires found in the Himalayan region.

Range Rover SV launched in India

 

The opulent blue exterior is complimented by the bespoke finish pack of silver chrome and the warm tones of Corinthian Bronze. The colour effect is extended to the roof and mirror caps, and the car comes with 23’’ oblivion 1077 diamond turned wheels with gloss dark grey contrast and black callipers.

 

Speaking about the interior of the Range Rover SV Masara Edition, it features Liberty Blue Leather with the lighter Perlino Leather which are further complimented by bright noble chrome jewellery accents and white ceramic. Custom details on the Masara Edition include Bespoke paint, accents, wheels, new unique and exclusive embroidered seats with personalized scatter cushions and SV Bespoke branded tread plates with ‘Masāra Edition’ and ‘1 of 12’ designation. Other details of the Masara Edition include fully reclinable rear seats, a powered club table, deployable cupholders and a refrigerated compartment.

Range Rover SV powertrain details

 

Given its SV origins, the Range Rover SV comes exclusively with a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, sourced from BMW. This engine puts out 615PS of power and 750Nm of torque, all of which goes to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
