Renault India has launched the Triber 100PS, a turbocharged version of its seven-seater MPV. It is also the first Renault India model to use the company's new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP). The new version gets more than just a new engine, with changes to the suspension, brakes and thermal management as well. Prices start at Rs 7.84 lakh, ex-showroom. Renault Triber 100PS engine specifications
The Triber 100PS gets Renault's new TCe 100 turbo-petrol engine, which produces 100 PS and 180 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while an automatic version is expected to be introduced later.
Renault has also developed a new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS) for the engine. It is designed to balance performance, responsiveness and efficiency. The changes are not limited to the engine. Renault has reworked the Triber around the new RGEP platform, with revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, MTV damper technology, recalibrated brakes and dedicated tuning for Indian road conditions.
The car also gets an updated thermal management system with a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) cooling fan. Renault says this allows more precise cooling while also improving energy efficiency.
Renault Triber 100PS mileage
The Triber 100PS has a certified fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl. Renault says the combination of the TCe 100 engine, R-EMS and BLDC cooling fan helps balance the added performance with fuel efficiency.

Renault Triber 100PS variants and prices
The turbo-petrol engine is available on the Evolution, Techno and Emotion variants. The base Authentic variant continues with the naturally aspirated Energy engine.

The Triber 100PS starts at Rs 7,84,900 for the Evolution variant and goes up to Rs 8,99,900 for the top-spec Emotion variant, both ex-showroom. The turbo engine is currently available only with the 5-speed manual gearbox, with an automatic version expected later.
