Renault Triber Turbo launched at Rs 7.84 lakh — RGEP platform, 100PS, and 180Nm

Renault India has launched the all-new Triber 100PS at a starting price of Rs 7,84,900, ex-showroom. It is the first Renault India model to use the new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP). The Triber 100PS gets a new 100 PS turbo-petrol engine, 180 Nm of torque and several engineering changes to the chassis, suspension, braking and thermal management.
Despite these updates, the Triber continues to offer its seven-seat layout, sub-4-metre dimensions and flexible seating options. The new turbo-petrol variants are priced below Rs 9 lakh, with the range-topping Emotion variant priced at Rs 8,99,900.
Renault Triber 100PS — Renault India's first RGEP product
The new Renault Triber turbo is the first Renault India model to be built on the new Renault Group Entry Platform. The RGEP is designed to support different powertrains and future regulatory requirements, while also improving ride and handling.
Renault says the Triber 100PS is more than just an engine upgrade. The company has made changes to the engine management system, thermal management, chassis, suspension, braking system and vehicle structure to suit the new powertrain.
Renault Triber Turbo engine and engineering changes
The Triber gets Renault's new TCe 100 turbo-petrol engine, which produces 100 PS and 180 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Renault has also developed a new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS) to balance performance, responsiveness and fuel efficiency. It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl.
The main engineering changes include a revised thermal-management system, structural enhancements, revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, MTV damper technology, optimised brake calibration and vehicle dynamics tuning for Indian roads.
The new thermal-management system also uses a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) cooling fan. Renault says this allows more precise cooling control, improves energy efficiency and helps maintain better thermal performance.
Renault Triber 100PS cabin, tech, and safety features
Depending on the variant, the Triber 100PS gets an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital LED instrument cluster, automatic air-conditioning, cruise control, wireless charging, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and a Smart Access Card.
The cabin also gets independent rear air-conditioning with dedicated vents for the second and third rows. Other features include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, push-button start/stop and roof rails with a load-carrying capacity of up to 50kg. The Triber also offers 625 litres of boot space with the third row folded, along with 182mm of ground clearance and 23 litres of interior storage.
For safety, the Triber 100PS gets six airbags and 21 safety features as standard. Depending on the variant, it also gets front parking sensors, a rear-view camera with guidelines and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

The Triber range continues with the existing Energy petrol engine, while the new Turbo TCe 100 engine is available on the Evolution, Techno and Emotion variants.

The Turbo TCe 100 variants are priced from Rs 7,84,900 to Rs 8,99,900, ex-showroom. The existing Energy petrol engine remains available across the range, including the entry-level Authentic variant, giving buyers a lower-priced option.
Renault Triber turbo seating flexibility unchanged
The Triber 100PS retains the same flexible seating layout as the existing model. It can accommodate five, six or seven occupants, with Easy-Fix third-row seats, slide-and-recline second-row seats and one-touch tumble access.
Renault also continues to offer more than 100 passenger and luggage configurations. The Triber's sub-four-metre length and 1.0-litre petrol engine also keep it eligible for India's 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars. Renault says more than 2.5 lakh units of the Triber have been sold in India so far.
Renault's futuREady India strategy
The Triber 100PS is part of Renault India's futuREady India strategy, which focuses on new products, updated platforms and technologies developed for Indian customers. As the first Renault India model based on the RGEP platform, the Triber 100PS is an important part of this product plan. Renault says its India strategy will continue with 12 product interventions planned over the next 18 months.
