Tata Aeris launched in India at Rs 5.29 lakh — Prices, features, specs, & more

Tata Motors has launched the Aeris in India at Rs 5.29 lakh to Rs 9.74 lakh ex-showroom. It is available in five personas: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished, with petrol and factory-fitted CNG powertrain options.

2026 Tata Aeris price list

Tata Aeris prices start at Rs 5.29 lakh for the Smart petrol manual, while the Smart iCNG costs Rs 6.29 lakh. The Smart persona is available only with manual transmission. The Pure persona starts at Rs 6.14 lakh for the petrol manual and goes up to Rs 7.70 lakh for the iCNG AMT. The Pure+ is priced from Rs 6.74 lakh to Rs 8.29 lakh, while the Creative ranges from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 9.04 lakh.

The top-spec Accomplished persona starts at Rs 8.19 lakh for the petrol manual and goes up to Rs 9.74 lakh for the iCNG AMT. The petrol AMT and CNG AMT options are available from the Pure persona onwards.

Tata Aeris exterior and interior design

The Tata Aeris gets a new exterior design with several distinctive elements. At the front, it features Signature LED Headlamps with LED DRLs and a wide lower grille. The front-end design is complemented by the Cosmo Grain textured wheel arch cladding. 

Moving to the side, the Aeris gets R15 Diamond Aero Alloy Wheels, a dual-tone black roof, a shark-fin antenna and chrome-line door handles. At the rear, the sedan gets Infinity Connected LED Tail Lamps, which Tata claims are a first-in-segment feature.

Inside, the Aeris gets LuxTouch leatherette seats, while higher personas are offered with AeroLux Ventilated Leatherette Seats. The cabin features an OpenView dashboard, satin chrome inner door handles, a SportLux steering wheel and a dual-screen setup. It also gets a dual-tone interior theme and a Grand Tech Console with a soft-touch leatherette armrest.

2026 Tata Aeris colour options

The Aeris is available in six exterior colours: Pure Grey, Nitro Crimson, Dandeli Drizzle, Pristine White, Daytona Grey and Dune Glow.

New Tata Aeris dimensions

The Tata Aeris measures 3,995mm in length, 1,684mm in width and 1,532mm in height, with a 2,450mm wheelbase. These dimensions keep it within the sub-4-metre compact sedan segment.

The petrol Aeris offers 419 litres of boot space. The iCNG version does not have a comparable boot space figure specified by Tata. For fuel capacity, the petrol version gets a 35-litre fuel tank, while the iCNG version gets the same 35-litre petrol tank along with a 70-litre CNG tank based on water capacity.

Tata Aeris features

The Aeris gets a 26.03cm HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.7cm digital instrument cluster. It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Dual Smartphone Deck with wireless charging and iRA connected car technology with more than 35 features.

Comfort features include AeroLux Ventilated Leatherette Seats, fully automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a 65W rear USB Type-C charger and front and rear 65W Type-C USB chargers. Other features include a rear centre armrest with cupholders, cooled glovebox, magazine pockets, a 6-speaker sound system, height-adjustable driver seat and front armrest with storage.

AMT variants also get a rotary gear selector and quick-response paddle shifters. Other convenience features include Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS), electrically adjustable and auto-fold ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and soft-touch fabric armrests on all doors.

Tata Aeris safety features

The Aeris gets Tata's Safety Dome package with more than 100 safety features. It uses an evolved version of Tata's X-Alfa architecture, with Ultra High Strength Steel used in the body structure.

Standard safety features include six airbags, a DashCam Recorder, a 360-degree SVS HD camera, Blind View Monitor, ISOFIX child seat anchors, an HD reverse parking camera, Intelligent Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS) and LED fog lamps.

Other safety and driver-assistance features include Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control (CSC), Hill Hold Control, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and a rear defogger.

The iCNG version gets additional safety features such as a leak detection system, leak-proof materials, thermal incident protection, rear crash protection for the CNG tank, direct start in CNG mode and a dedicated ECU for managing the dual-fuel system.

Tata Aeris specifications — Engine and powertrain options

The Aeris uses a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron engine. In petrol form, it produces 86PS at 6,000rpm and 113Nm at 3,300rpm. The iCNG version produces 75.5PS at 6,000rpm and 96.5Nm at 3,500rpm. Both petrol and CNG versions are available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Tata is also offering a CNG AMT, which it claims is a first-in-segment feature, along with Twin Cylinder Technology.

Powertrain options vary by persona. The Smart is available with Petrol MT and CNG MT. The Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished personas get Petrol MT, Petrol AMT, CNG MT and CNG AMT options.

Tata Aeris suspension, brakes and tyres

The Aeris gets an independent front suspension with a lower wishbone and McPherson strut with coil spring. At the rear, it uses a semi-independent closed-profile twist-beam setup with a dual-path strut.

Braking duties are handled by front disc and rear drum brakes across the range. The Smart and Pure petrol variants use 14-inch tyres, while the Pure+, Creative and Accomplished petrol variants get 15-inch  tyres. All iCNG variants use 14-inch tyres.
