Tata Altroz CNG mileage revealed — Best in segment?

The 2025 Tata Altroz mileage has been revealed in India, showing a slight improvement in the figures. However, when compared to other cars in the same segment, such as the Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza, which have a similar fuel efficiency of 30.61km/kg, it still falls slightly short. On the other hand, the overall specs of the new Altroz CNG remain unchanged from before.

New Tata Altroz CNG mileage revealed
The 2025 Tata Altroz mileage in the CNG powertrain is 26.90 km/kg, which is also the best among all engine options offered in this model. Notably, the pre-facelift Altroz CNG had a similar fuel efficiency, with a slight drop at 26.2 km/kg.
As of now, this CNG powertrain is only offered with a manual gearbox. However, reports suggest that an AMT gearbox could be introduced for the CNG version in the future. Currently, the AMT option is available only with the petrol engine.
Tata Altroz CNG Specs
The Tata Altroz comes with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder iCNG engine that makes 73.5PS of power and 103Nm of torque when running on CNG. On petrol, it delivers 88PS of power and 115Nm of torque. The CNG powertrain is available in select variants only—Smart, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, and Accomplished S. The top-end Accomplished+ S trim is not offered with the CNG option.

The Tata Altroz CNG is priced from Rs 7.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.09 lakh. This creates a price difference of Rs 3.20 lakh between the base and top CNG variants. In comparison, the petrol variants of the Altroz are priced between Rs 6.89 lakh and Rs 11.49 lakh, while the diesel variants range from Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 11.29 lakh.
