Tata Curvv EV lifetime battery warranty to be announced soon? — Details inside

As per a new media report, Tata Motors is said to offer lifetime battery warranty on the Tata Curvv EV, following the announcement made for the Harrier EV. This move will negate any concerns in the minds of the existing as well as new EV owners when it comes to long-term usability. Tata Curvv EV to get lifetime battery warranty

Following the announcement of lifetime battery warranty on the recently launched Harrier EV, Tata Motors is now said to extend the lifetime battery warranty offer to the Nexon EV (45kWh) and Curvv EV customers as well. What’s interesting to note is that the lifetime battery warranty for the Curvv EV will be applicable on both new as well as existing owners. The lifetime warranty for the first owner covers the battery warranty for 15 years from the date of registration and for the second owner, Tata Motors will offer the reduced warranty, covering 8 years or 1.6 lakh km from the date of registration.

It is worth mentioning that the lifetime battery warranty is currently applicable on the Harrier EV, Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45kWh, essentially the one that makes use of Tata’s new prismatic battery cells. Older EV models, including the new Tiago EV and Punch EV, do not fall under the lifetime battery warranty. In case you own the Curvv EV and want to avail the lifetime battery warranty, you need to have your vehicle serviced only at Tata’s authorised dealerships and follow the service schedule.
