A panoramic sunroof has long been the kind of feature Indian car buyers want but usually have to pay significantly more to get. Tata Motors just changed that. The company has recently launched the new variant, Nexon Pure+ PS, of its best-selling compact SUV that brings a panoramic sunroof to a price point no other car in India has reached before. At Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Nexon Pure+ PS puts a feature that was firmly in premium territory within reach of a much wider set of buyers.
The launch also marks a significant milestone. Tata Motors crossed 1 million Nexon units on Indian roads ahead of this announcement, and the Pure+ PS is both a product addition and a celebration of that milestone.
Tata Nexon Pure+ PS features highlights
The biggest highlight of the Tata Nexon Pure+ PS is the panoramic sunroof. The sunroof is also voice-assisted, allowing it to be operated through voice commands. Along with that, the Pure+ PS gets a 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker audio system, HD rear-view camera with parking guidelines, rear parking sensors, auto LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, LED tail lamps, and auto-folding ORVMs.

Tata Nexon Pure+ PS engine options — Three powertrains across five configurations
The Tata Nexon Pure+ PS is available with petrol, twin-cylinder iCNG, and diesel engine options. Buyers can choose between petrol manual, petrol AMT, iCNG manual, diesel manual, and diesel AMT setups, giving the variant a wide range of choices.
The petrol version uses a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine producing 120 PS. The twin-cylinder iCNG version is based on the same engine and is aimed at buyers looking for lower running costs. The diesel option focuses more on fuel efficiency, making it suitable for daily and highway driving.
