Outline

FY 2025-26 turned out to be a big year for Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The company posted its highest-ever annual sales at 4,06,081 units, up 20% over last year. March also did its bit, with 37,194 units sold, which is a 24% increase compared to the same time last year.

The growth isn’t coming from just one side. Domestic sales stayed consistent and held things together, while exports went up by 41% and added a good push to the overall numbers. Crossing the 4 lakh mark for the first time kind of shows how much Toyota has grown in the market in a short span.

Toyota sold 68,933 more units this year than it did last year. Domestic sales went past 3.67 lakh units, adding close to 58,000 units on their own. Exports, though, are what really stand out. It jumped from 27,640 to 38,974 units, which is a sharp 41% rise. That kind of increase usually does not happen without strong demand from outside India. It also shows that Toyota’s India-made cars are finding more acceptance globally and the Bidadi plant is clearly playing a bigger role now.

March 2026 was a clean sweep - domestic, exports, and total all grew at exactly 24%. The month's 37,194 units is TKM's best-ever March performance. Domestic retailed at 35,125 units (up from 28,373) while exports chipped in 2,069 units against 1,670 last year.

Ending the financial year with 24% growth in the last month is a good sign. It shows demand stayed steady and didn’t slow down towards the end of the year.

October was clearly the strongest month here. Sales went up to 42,892 units, helped by the festive season. A 39% jump at that time shows how much demand usually builds around those months.

November dropped a bit, which is normal after the festive rush. Even then, it stayed at a solid 33,752 units with 28% growth. December picked up again and reached 39,333 units. Exports were at their highest in this period too, touching 5,176 units.

January and February were more steady. Both months stayed in the 33,000 to 34,000 range and still managed double-digit growth. March then closed the year at 37,194 units with a 24% increase.

Overall, there is a clear pattern. There are ups and downs month to month but no real weak phase.
