Outline

VinFast has officially opened pre-bookings for the VF MPV 7 in India from April 2, 2026. The seven-seater electric MPV will be formally launched in April. This will be the brand’s third model in India after the VF 6 and VF 7, which arrived in September 2025.

The VF MPV 7 enters a segment that remains relatively uncrowded on the electric side and VinFast is positioning it squarely as a practical, family-oriented EV with a competitive range and ownership proposition.

Upcoming VinFast VF MPV 7 pre-bookings start

VinFast VF MPV 7 bookings can be made through the brand’s official website or at any of its 50 authorised dealerships across India. The token amount is set at Rs 21,000, keeping the entry fairly accessible for early buyers. Deliveries are confirmed to begin soon after the launch event, so the waiting period is not expected to be long.

VinFast VF MPV 7 exterior

The VF MPV 7 follows VinFast’s familiar design language, similar to what is seen on the VF 6 and VF 7. The overall shape is upright and boxy, with a focus more on space than styling. VinFast says the proportions are based on its golden ratio approach. The wheels are pushed closer to the corners to free up more cabin space. In terms of size, it measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2840mm.

At the front, it gets vertically stacked LED headlamps along with a full-width LED light bar that meets at the centre. The VinFast logo sits right in between. The rear follows a similar theme with a connected LED light bar across the tailgate. Along the sides, there is slim black cladding around the lower doors and wheel arches. It will ride on 19-inch aero-style alloy wheels.

VinFast VF MPV 7 colour options

VinFast VF MPV 7 colour options include Infinity Blanc, Jet Black, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby, Moonlit Ocean, and Introspective Brown. Inside, the cabin is offered in two themes, black and brown.

Upcoming VinFast VF MPV 7 features

The VinFast VF MPV 7 interior follows a clean, minimalist layout. The dashboard is built around a 10.1-inch touchscreen that handles both infotainment and driver information. There is no separate instrument cluster. The three-spoke steering wheel has a flat-bottom design and comes wrapped in leatherette, with physical controls integrated into it.

VinFast is likely to offer a head-up display in the India-spec version. This should make up for the absence of a dedicated driver display, similar to what is seen on the VF 6 and VF 7. The cabin is set up as a proper seven-seater with three rows. There is no six-seat option planned for India. The seats use a mix of leather and leatherette upholstery and the third row can be folded to free up more boot space. With all seats folded, cargo capacity goes up to around 1,240 litres.

In terms of features, it also gets automatic climate control, powered driver seat, and a steering wheel with tilt, telescopic adjustment, USB charging ports, voice commands and smartphone connectivity, among others.

On the safety side, it is will come with multiple airbags, TPMS, ABS, EBD, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, rollover mitigation, and all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto hold and power windows with anti-pinch protection.

VinFast VF MPV 7 battery specifications

The VF MPV 7 will use a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. It will produce 201PS and 280Nm of torque, with power going to the front wheels. VinFast claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of under 10 seconds, which should be reasonable for a vehicle of this size.

On a full charge, the claimed range will be over 500 km for India, while the global NEDC figure stands at 450 km. Real-world range will likely be lower, especially in mixed driving conditions, so a clearer picture will emerge after it hits the road. There will be three drive modes, Eco, Comfort, and Sport. It will also offer three levels of regenerative braking that can be adjusted based on driving conditions.

VinFast VF MPV 7 launch & rivals

VinFast VF MPV 7

The VinFast VF MPV 7 India launch is scheduled for April 2, 2026. Once launched, it will compete in a small but growing space of three-row electric vehicles. Key rivals include the Kia Carens Clavis EV, BYD eMax 7, and Mahindra XEV 9S. This is still a new segment, so pricing will play a big role in how it is received. Prices are expected to be announced on April 15. VinFast will also offer the same vehicle as the Limo Green for commercial and fleet use. The VF MPV 7 name will be reserved for private buyers.
