The luxury MPV segment has seen a boom lately, with vans like the Vellfire, LM 350h, and Carnival being sold out for months. A lot of automakers have been evaluating their entry into the MPV segment, and the latest one to lock horns with the giants is MG’s M9. And it brings something different to the table; it’s electric. How well does it hold ground against the new Kia Carnival? Here’s an MG M9 vs Kia Carnival specs comparison.

M9 vs Carnival design

The Kia Carnival, in my opinion, has the edge in the styling department, with an understated yet elegant presence. It is unapologetic in announcing itself as a van, with a classic boxy body. The MG M9, on the other hand, seems to try a bit too hard to look sleek and SUV-like, with a rounded face, a heavy dosage of chrome, and curvier body panels.
Carnival vs M9 interior and features

Key Kia Carnival features include second-row captain seats with heating and ventilation, three-zone climate control, 12-speaker Bose sound system, Level-2 ADAS, 8 airbags, dual-pane sunroof, and more. Key MG M9 features include second-row powered captain seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, 7 airbags, Level-2 ADAS, three-zone climate control, digital IRVM, V2V and V2L capabilities, 13-speaker JBL sound system, and more.
